Financial Analysis Certificate Program
Learning to analyse business performance isn't about memorising formulas. It's about understanding what numbers actually mean for real companies facing real decisions. Our twelve-week program teaches practical analysis skills through case studies drawn from Australian businesses across retail, manufacturing, and professional services.

What You'll Actually Learn
We've structured this program around three core modules that build on each other. Each week includes practical exercises using real financial statements from Australian companies.
Reading Financial Statements
Most people glaze over when they see a balance sheet. We break down what each section tells you about how a business operates.
- Understanding asset structures
- Cash flow vs profitability
- Debt ratios and what they mean
- Working capital patterns
Comparative Analysis Methods
Numbers mean nothing without context. You'll learn to compare performance across time periods, industry benchmarks, and competitor data.
- Trend analysis techniques
- Industry standard metrics
- Seasonal adjustments
- Growth rate calculations
Reporting for Decision-Making
The final module focuses on presenting findings clearly. We cover how to write reports that non-financial managers can actually use.
- Executive summary writing
- Visual data presentation
- Risk identification
- Actionable recommendations
Who Teaches This Program
Our instructors come from accounting firms, corporate finance departments, and business advisory practices. They've spent years doing the work they're teaching you about. Most sessions include examples from their own consulting engagements—with identifying details changed, obviously.

Rhys Thornbury
Spent fifteen years with mid-sized advisory firms before moving into education. Still consults part-time, which keeps the course examples current. Prefers teaching ratio analysis to any other topic.

Callum Fenwick
Worked in retail finance for twelve years before transitioning to education. His sessions on working capital management draw heavily from turnaround situations he's managed.

Jarrett Lindale
Runs a small business advisory practice in Brisbane. Teaches the comparative analysis module and brings data from dozens of Queensland manufacturing clients.

Declan Vashti
Former CFO for a logistics company with operations across three states. Now focuses on teaching finance professionals how to communicate findings more effectively.
